3.1 TRAYS

Sliding out the trays for filling

The trays are pulled out by pushing up the locking lever and gently pulling
out the tray until it comes to its stop point, the trays can then be tilted
forward to allow easier loading of product.
After loading the tray it is very important that the trays are pushed back
securely so they locate with the socket at the rear of the machine the
locking lever pushed must then be down. The trays can be tilted forward
to allow easier loading of product.

Loading the trays

To load, pull out one tray at time and loading from the rear of the machine
to the front. Make sure that all products fit loosely within their spirals and
that there are no gaps. Also make sure that any fragile items are placed on
  the lower shelves.

It is extremely important that the shelves are pushed back securely. The
  bottom trays do not tilt.

Checking all shelves are installed

When the shelves are put back in the machine and the machine is switched
back on or the door switch is switched on or off, the software automatically
checks that the trays are correctly pushed home. The software will then identify
if any of the trays have been pushed back incorrectly or if any of the motors
are not connected. The display will show which motors are being used

3.2 TRAY CONFIGURATION

Separators
These allow products to be separated and each tray can be configured to sell
the desired item. With a 10 selection tray found in the MX10, there is room
to have 5 double width compartments. In order to change the compartment width,
the tray needs to be removed from the machine and the locating hooks which hold
the compartment dividers need to be removed. This will allow the individual
compartment dividers to be removed or added. The hooks are located under the
  tray.

3.3 CHANGING TRAYS

If it is necessary to alter the position of a shelf in a machine, the following
procedure must be followed. First remove the shelf completely from the machine
and using the holes that run vertically the height of the machine, decide the
new position for the shelf slide. Then carefully removing the fixing screws
M4, take out the left hand and the right hand slides. Reposition the two horizontal
slides making sure that they are located correctly. Then move the connector
so that the tray when it is pushed in on its new position it mates with the
rear socket. The rear socket is fitted with two screws.

Check that the tray slides easily in and out.

ATTENTION. If it is necessary to move a special HQBO
bottle tray, always make sure that the connector and the tray plug locates properly.
The HQBO bottle tray needs the rear tray socket to be in a different position
from a conventional all spiral tray.

     ATTENTION.  IF THE MACHINE HAS
A LIFT IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO REPROGRAM THE LIFT SO THAT IT STOPS AT THE CORRECT
  SHELF HEIGHT.

Motor Divider
The rear shelf plate supports the motors which drive the spirals. As well
as the keeping the separators in position

To remove the motors unplug them from the wiring harness and simply pull
up the motor with the spiral.

To convert a tray with 8 single or 10 single motors to a 4 double spiral
or 5 double spirals it is necessary to change the motors and to alter the dividers
to make the shelf into 4 selections or 8 selections.

It is also necessary to assign the new motors
to the price linked to price line software.

Spiral fitted on to motor drive rotate to uncouple

·         ATTENTION. After
changing a single spiral drive for a double spiral drive
or vice-versa you will need to change product labels and alter pricing
  on the software.

3.4 SPIRALS

The spirals which are made from stainless steel can be changed to suit the
dimensions of most products. Each rotation of 360 degrees vends one product.
The spirals are supplied in different pitches, the wider the pitch the less
  items per selection.
Generally the spirals vary in pitch from 14.5mm.to 75mm. Crisps and snacks
are dispensed using a single motor driving two spirals through a gearbox. One
spiral turns clockwise and the other anti-clockwise within a double compartment.
The left hand spiral must be clock wise the right hand spiral anti clock wise
A bridge rail can be fitted inside the spirals to vend Cans, PET bottles,
  Tetra pack etc
A motor fitted with a special cam will allow the sale of tubes of sweets
or gums and mint by only rotating through 180 degrees.

Spirals. When installing spirals make sure that they are for left
  hand or right hand

3.5 DOOR SWITCH

The door interlock switch is located under the coin box support.
When the door is open, the door switch stops the machine from taking coins.
To override the switch, pull out the switch then the software will go through
  its checking routine.

If any shelves have been removed or not pushed back correctly, then
the bleeper on the microprocessor board will sound 10 times alerting the operator.
