2.1 MAINS ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
The vending machine is delivered with a mains cable for connection to a 230
Volts 50 Hertz single phase supply.
In connecting the machine to an electrical supply observe local regulations
and by- laws.
The vending machine must be earthed and a check for earth continuity
must be made. We advise the fitting of an RCD UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES
should the electrical connections in the machine be modified
All technical operations must be carried out by qualified personnel.

2.2 Installing payment systems
· Vending machines are normally supplied without a payment
system unless ordered specially. The installation of payment systems is normally
the responsibility of the client.
Coin mechanism
The fixings for the coin mechanism are located inside the front door cover
plate. It is important that the motor reject arm hits the eject button on the
coin mechanism properly to allow any rejected coins to be returned to the user.
The reject striker arm can be adjusted so that when the motor rotates, it completely
depresses the reject arm. This can be done by adjusting the two screws on the
reject striker.
Once the coin mechanism is located and the reject lever is operating correctly,
with the power switched off; the leads from the coin mechanism should be plugged
into the leads coming from the micro processor board. It is important that the
leads do not foul the coin chute or any other parts of the mechanism inside.
Electronic payment Key reader
A key reader can be installed directly below the key board and the appropriate
hole can be cut out from the front panel.
Banknote reader
A Banknote reader can be inserted directly above the key panel. It is important
that the note stacker does not get in the way of product spirals on the top
right hand part of the machine. Make sure that products can drop properly once
the note reader has been fitted.
2.3 DISPLAY
Manea Models MSX10-MSX8 are fitted with a graphic display of
128x128 characters protected by a Lexan screen. The LCD display enables the
user to make selections and for the operator to program and retrieve data from
the machine.
To clean the protective Lexan front, use a damp cloth, the display can be
removed and cleaned from behind.
The contrast level of the LCD screen can be adjusted using the trimmer on
the microprocessor board.
Adjustment of the LCD screen must be carried out by an authorised technician.
