1.1 IDENTIFICATION

The vending machine model and serial number is written on the nameplate, which is located on the left rear of the machine it is important to record the serial number, the date of manufacture and the model type. This will allow your supplier to give you accurate technical
assistance and to provide any spare parts that may be required

1.2 FAULT FINDING

The machine is built and designed in such a way that the majority of simple faults are easily put right by the user or operator
If a fault develops, please consult the manual before contacting your supplier.
Always check the following
1. Does your vendor have at least 20 cm of clear air space behind it?
2. Is the power connected?
Plug another electrical appliance into that socket to make sure the socket is working.
3 Do not use extension cords
4. Is the evaporator coil free of dust and dirt and the fan working?
The evaporator coil is located below the bottom shelf. Check that it is running by opening the front door pulling the bottom door switch and making sure that a draft of air can be felt at the rear of the machine
5. Is the condenser coil free of dust and dirt?
The condenser is located behind the bottom front cover every 6 months you machine supplier must disconnect the machine from the electrical supply and clean the condenser. If this is not done the refrigeration unit will fail
6. Is the temperature setting correct?

If you are unable to fix the problem yourself please contact your local supplier for technical support. Detailed fault finding procedures for qualified technicians are at the rear of this manual.
A sample set of set up values to make your vending machine operate correctly are listed below

1.3 TRANSPORT

During transport and loading or unloading, all operations need to be carried out with particular care. The machine in its protective packaging is best manoeuvred using a pallet truck or fork lift truck
- - During the installation of the machine do not tilt the machine
Take care
          - Not to drop the distributor.
          - Not to lift the distributor using hooks
          - Not to use harnesses or ropes.
          - Not to shake the machine.
          - Not to unload it without proper care and attention
Store the distributor in a dry place without stacking any objects above it keeping the unit at a temperature between 0° and 30°celsius

1.4 Proper use of the vending machine

Manea vending machines, series MSX, are designed to vend ambient or chilled products. The main parts of the vending machine are controlled by a microprocessor based system; which allows the user to program and to modify all the parameters of the machine.

The products are visible through a double glazed display window which is gas filled. All the selections can made through the keypad and all the operations shown on a large graphic display.

The products are held in trays which can be configured to hold various product widths and depths and heights. The maximum number of different product lines that can be stored on a
Shelf is 10 on A MSX10 and 8 on a MSX8

The refrigeration unit, which is an integrated system, is located in the base of the machine and can be taken out in a matter of minutes. The refrigeration unit is completely separate from the rest of the machine. The refrigerator uses a hot gas system to defrost itself.

The vending machine must only be used for vending suitable products permitted by local laws

Use of the machine for any other purpose is not allowed. Manea Srl will not be responsible for any misuse, accidents or injuries

The Manea MSX Series is For INDOOR USE ONLY
Any misuse will void the warranty.
1.5 POSITIONING AND INSTALLATION

The machine is supplied from the factory bolted on two wooden blocks. These are fixed to the machine using 4 M8 bolts. To remove these bolts and the wooden blocks it is necessary to raise the machine using a fork lift, making sure the machine is safely supported with additional support. Then carefully unbolt the fixing bolts using a socket head. Once the wooden blocks have been removed, it is necessary to fit on the 4 adjustable feet which are supplied with the machine.

The vending machine is for internal use only and must not be used externally. It must be located in a dry building with an ambient temperature of 0° - 33°C.
The machine must not be located next to direct sources of heat or where water entry will take place.

Locating the machine.
The machine must be located at the minimum distance of 20cm from any rear wall so that heat from the condenser can escape and the recommended internal temperature can be maintained. If the rear ventilation holes are obstructed the internal refrigerator will not cool properly and the compressor will fail

If the vending machine has to be located in a closed, or badly ventilated area, additional ventilation must be put in place to allow heat to escape from the area. If this is not done, the machine will overheat and malfunction.

Only install the machine on a level surface. If the surface is not completely level then use the adjustable feet to ensure that the machine is level. If during transport, the machine has been taken out of the vertical it is best to not switch the machine on for at least 12 hours to avoid damage to the refrigeration system.

When locating the machine make sure there is sufficient room for the front door to open completely to allow the proper removal of trays for filling.

Installation must only be carried out by a qualified technician.
The machine must be tested annually for electrical safety using a portable appliance tester and an earth continuity tester At all times prevailing laws governing procedures required for the health and safety of users and operators must be observed

1.7 DISPOSAL

This vending machine has been designed so that it can be completely disassembled at the end of its useful life. All the materials from which it is built are completely recyclable and it is possible to separate out the parts to dismantle the machine in a short time. You are advised to have the machine broken up by specialized firms.
It is necessary to follow the current laws (WEEE) for the protection of the environment.
The ferrous and plastic materials must be delivered to firms licensed to dispose of this type of equipment and the insulating materials and the refrigerant gas in the refrigeration units must be recovered using specialized firms.
The inside insulation of the machine is easy to remove and recycle as is the rest of the cabinet.
